REVIEW SCORE 9
This bizarre and metaphysical trip into a mysterious spiritual cosmos is brought to you by Jim Evans, who also appeared in Slow Death Funnies #1 and Illuminations. Evans produces a tour de force of mysticism and psychedelia, with cameo appearances by Rick Griffin and Ron Cobb. This is Jim's greatest contribution to underground comix; not that easy to decipher but quite pleasing to digest. Dying Dolphin may have been influenced by John Thompson, Rory Hayes and Rick Griffin, but it stands on its own as a unique artifact of the era.
