Fits #2 follows in the footsteps of the first issue with a collection of short literary works, comics and poetry. Comic contributors include Spain Rodriguez, Kim Deitch, Jim Osborne, Kenneth Greene, Rory Hayes and Bill Griffith, who did the front and back covers. Joe Brainard and Bill Berkson collaborate on a 10-page comic that features children's cartoon characters Nancy and Henry having sex alongside a nonsensical narrative.

Other highlights include Nancy Senauke's one-pager that provides sex advice for men and women; Bobbie Creeley's article about growing up in north Alabama, a hilarious ode to masturbation by Nancy Griffith (Bill Griffith's wife); and Judy Grahn's article about a 6-foot-4 lesbian's psychoanalysis.

There is also an article about Fred Hampton's murder that was anonymously contributed by "a film-maker," which had to be Mike Gray. Hampton was a fast-rising leader in the Black Panther Party who was assassinated in his apartment in 1969 by a tactical unit of the Chicago Police Department and the FBI. Gray had produced a documentary about the murder and the article in Fits #2 is a brief but harrowing account of the early-morning murders (Hampton and Mark Clark were both killed by the cops).
