Beer Comix is not a title that underground comic historians have lovingly rhapsodized and analyzed down to it's spine staples, but this was a fine comic series that included a classic first issue. Author Dave Geary, who along with Rand Holmes essentially pioneered the underground comic book in Canada, hit the mug on the beer head with Beer Comix #1 (sometimes called Bridge City Beer Comix) and managed to put out two more issues of this title in the early '70s (I don't have the third issue).

Geary also contributed to Nature Comix (1970), Fleshapoids from Earth (1974), Gopher Freedom Comix (1975), Bridge City Revue (1976-81) and Scratchatune Comics (1981), the latter being a comic book that was included with original pressings of singer Donald Freed's "Off in All Directions" music album.
