Larry Gonick gets back on track with the ninth issue in the series, producing it just a year after the previous issue. It had been over a decade since Gonick completed two issues within a year of each other.

The Cartoon History of the Universe #9 covers the history of China from 5000 to 246 B.C. This was the last issue of the series published in comic book form. Subsequent chapters in Gonick's ambitious chronicle were published in trade paperback form. I don't have sample pages ready yet, but will get one or two uploaded to the site in the near future.
