The first issue of Comix Book featured a front cover by Peter Poplaski (which was misprinted; the knife's shadow was supposed to appear translucent over the line art beneath it). The 64 pages inside the covers include Trina Robbins, Art Spiegelman ("Ace Hole, Midget Detective"), Basil Wolverton, Evert Geradts, Howard Cruse, Skip Williamson (two "Snappy Sammy Smoot" stories), Kim Deitch, John Pound, Ted Richards & Justin Green ("Two Fools"), Tim Boxell, and Steve Stiles. There's also a terrific strip by Vincent Davis that originally appeared in Myron Moose Funnies, volume 1, #2 and features a cameo by Mr. Natural.
