More hard-drivin',
heavy drinkin' adventures from Dave Geiser, featuring stellar characters
like Fishcake and Enoch Yip. What more could you ask for than alcohol-induced
vomiting, violent
hallucinations and sex with drug-addicted whores who end up dead?
Fun for the whole family!
The title of the book is based on an acronym for delirium tremens (Latin for "shaking frenzy"), which is an acute episode of delirium typically caused by withdrawal from alcohol. The main symptoms of DT are confusion, diarrhea, disorientation and agitation, but often include intense hallucinations about insects, snakes or rats. A bad case of DT is the closest thing in real life to the classic stereotypical freak out where people hallucinate about being attacked by giant spiders or vicious armies of rats. DT is a serious, physically debilitating ailment that can be fatal, so listen to your daddy when he tells you, "all things in moderation."
