Richard Corben self-published
Fantagor #1 in 1970, two years after his first published work appeared in the fanzine
Voice of Comicdom. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th printings were printed by Last Gasp after Corben had already begun to contribute to other underground comics. Corben contributes two of the three feature stories here, though one was written by Starr Armitage. Herb Arnold and Armitage collaborated on the third story, and Corben contributed three additional pages at the end of the comic for the 2nd through 4th printings.

HISTORICAL FOOTNOTES:
There are four printings of this comic book. The 1st printing (approximately 1,500 copies) was self-published by Corben and does not have a cover price (it was priced at $1.50). The 2nd (20,000 copies), 3rd and 4th (10,000 copies each) printings were all printed by Last Gasp Eco-Funnies, all had 50-cent cover prices and are believed to be indistinguishable from each other.
