Roger Brand opens Tales of Sex and Death #2 with "If Brains Were Muscles!", a fine tale about a brainy professor who becomes obsessed with his gorgeous assistant. Charles Dallas exposes the cruel reality of seeking romance with strippers in "Nite-Lifer." Justin Green and Kim Deitch give us "In Days of Ol' Angzine," featuring a brutal New Year's Eve prank.
Things only get more gruesome with contributions from Rory Hayes and Dave Geiser before Roger Brand closes with another "Head" story (Roger’s story was a tribute to Russ Heath’s “The Brain,” a particularly gruesome 1950s Marvel horror story). Though it arrived four years after the first issue, Tales of Sex and Death #2 matches the standards set by its predecessor.
